The Child Nutrition Department provides approximately 1,400 breakfast meals, 3,000 lunch meals and 550 after school snacks daily. The Child Nutrition Department participates in the School Breakfast Program (NSBP), National School Lunch Program (NSLP), the After School Snack Program and the Summer Meal Program. Additionally, we receive commodity food through the USDA Food Distribution Program to assist in providing healthy, low-cost meals to all our students. Our program is self-sufficient, generating funds for all expenses and employees wages needed for the 42-person staff to operate food services at five kitchens and six school lunch rooms.
