Teacher Resources for Mummy Quest

Note:

This WebQuest was created for  6th grade students with learning disabilities.  As a special educator, my goal is to increase my students' abilities in language arts, based on I.E.P. goals.  Therefore, I focused on language arts standards and skills, not social studies.  I used a 6th grade social studies topic because of its high interest level for students and the possibility of integration.

Due to my students' lower reading levels (primer to 3rd grade), I purposefully attempted to make this WebQuest reflect a level more commensurate with my students' reading levels.   The resources I chose to use tend to be shorter, more visual, and at a lower reading level compared to many other sites I found.  Encourage your students to use the resources marked with a mummy icon.  These are the sites I thought would be the most helpful and the easiest for my students to use.

Materials:

The two rewards students will receive after accomplishing these activities are:
The Golden Reward - gold-covered chocolate coins
The Embalmer's Certificate

If you do not have the Inspiration software at your school, you can download a free, 30-day trial by clicking here.
