Staff: Through setting high expectations, using differentiated and intentional instruction, and modeling life-long learning the staff at Montecito Community School strives to make the school a desirable place to work and learn. Students: MCS students are considerate of others and accept responsibility for their learning behavior while becoming self-directed learners. Curriculum: MCS provides a standards-based curriculum where students' academic progress is continually assessed and support or enrichment is provided for those who require it. Home and Community: MCS strives to create an effective partnership with parents and the surrounding community by maintaining open communication, addressing expressed needs and concerns, and promoting their involvement in our students' learning. School Climate MCS provides a safe, clean and productive environment by setting expectations for student behavior, properly maintaining the physical facilities ad building relationships characterized by respect, consideration and collaboration. |
