Educational field trips offer Osborn District students important opportunities to deepen their knowledge and understanding of subjects studied in school. Oftentimes field trips are the culmination of weeks of study on a subject. For example, a field trip scavenger hunt at the Phoenix Symphony will follow lessons on the types and histories of instruments which make up the symphony, as well as the elements which combine together to make music: rhythm, melody, etc. Students then attend a performance at Symphony Hall to experience a full orchestra. More educational discussion follows the field trip building the student's vocabulary and processing the experience. | ||
