All Osborn students receive professional instruction in the special areas of arts, music, physical education, and library. Each school has large, well-supplied facilities for special area classes. Additionally, Choir and Band are optional classes for students in fifth through eighth grades. The importance of special area instruction has never faltered at Osborn. The Governing Board and Administration realize the important role specials play in creating a well-rounded education focused on critical thinking, analytical skills, awareness of culture and history. The ability to discover and nurture talent in students is also a critical component of Osborn’s special area programs.

Advanced Band placement is by audition only.
