Ms. Catherine (Cat) Hilgers was born and raised in Bad Axe, Michigan.  She lived there with her mom, younger sister, and younger brother until she left for Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky during August of 1999.  There she vigorously studied music education, vocal and instrumental.  In December of 2003 she graduated from Asbury College with a slightly different accent.  From there she headed to Detroit, Michigan to begin her teaching career.  That teaching experience opened her eyes to a much larger world, and she decided that she needed a community of variety.  That decision paved the way for Ms. Hilgers to begin teaching in the Osborn School District.

This is her third year teaching in our district.  Currently she is teaching Beginning Band, Symphonic Band, Choir, Musical Theatre, and Music and Technology.  These subjects keep her musically sane and certainly fulfill her wishes of variety.
