Osborn Middle School

CLASS DESCRIPTION

Osborn Middle School offers a wide variety of literacy experiences tailored to the needs of each individual student. Both Dual Language and English Language Cohort classes are offered for non-English speaking students, and students with limited English proficiency. Students needing extra support with literacy instruction may be placed in the READ 180 Program. Honors classes provide extra challenges for students who are excelling.

Our literacy teams plan and collaborate closely to provide students with standards based lessons using effective instructional strategies in reading and writing. Benchmark assessments administered at the end of each trimester allow teachers to measure student progress. Assessment is essential to the planning process.
