The 7th grade curriculum for Social Studies consist of many topics (including but not limited to):
The Social Studies curriculum for 8th grade is Government, specifically American and Arizona Government. Students learn about laws, the US Constitution, democracy, current events. They explore the areas of human rights, ethics and laws within the framework of democratic responsibility.
About the Teachers
Mr. Forry Mr. Forry was born in Tacoma, Washington. He attended Grand Canyon University and has been teaching for 8 years and this is his second at OMS. His favorite type of music is really hard rock. For fun, he likes riding his motorcycle.
Mr. Forry, Social Studies Mr. Holman Mr. Holman is originally from Indiana. He is a graduate of Indiana University. This is his third year teaching his own class, and he decided to teach 8th grade Government. He did substitute for a while, so he did have some experience. During his spare time he enjoys doing things that have to do with interacting with people. One thing he really likes to do is teach soccer and play sports. He loves teaching here.
