Class of 2006
Future Leaders of Our Country
Mr. Holman takes a group of students to Washington,
D.C. each year!
Purpose: To find and develop leaders, and then
provide these young people with experiences that transform them into proactive citizens
who significantly and positively impact their communities and country,
beginning with their school campus.
·
From car washes and fundraisers, students learn
that they can overcome limited opportunity, accomplish almost anything with
hard work, and that living with purpose provides more fulfilling results than
menial middle school drama.
·
From high academic and citizenship standards and
the challenge to transform the school, students learn the joy of positive
leadership and that excellence is rewarded.
·
From the DC trip, night reflections, and the
legal research paper they bring to the Capitol, students develop an
appreciation of how rare liberty is and the sacrifices paid for our freedom; an
understanding of the foundation of a free society, and inspiration/empowerment
to preserve this freedom and pass liberty on to others.
The students who go on this exciting trip
fund raise to pay for their own way.
Donations are
welcome.
