ADMINISTRATIVE POSITIONS

Director of Human Resource  (District Office) Until Filled

  • Responsible for full range of human resource functions including recruiting, benefits administration, initiating and monitoring FMLA, COBRA and short term disability eligibility, coordinating worker's compensation reporting, ensuring validity of teacher certification, maintaining personnel files.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with district administrators and staff; ability to communicate effectively; 

Education and Experience:  Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field; minimum of three years experience in human resources preferred; school experience is beneficial

Administrative Assistant to Superintendent $13.33 - $14.25

  • Performs and manages the daily activities of assigned office.
  • Coordinates communication between the administrator, Governing Board, staff and the public.
  • Obtains and provides information and assists in resolving issues as appropriate.
  • Prepares correspondence, reports, forms, applications, requisitions and memoranda independently or from oral direction; formats and prepares Board packet materials.
  • Attends all regular Governing Board meetings and work-study sessions.
  • Receives and transcribes letters and memoranda, including confidential material.
  • Organizes, monitors and adjusts assignments to assure timely and proper completion.
  • Performs receptionist duties and initiates and answers telephone calls.

Child Nutrition Manager   $12.22-$13.07 DOE*

  • Assigns tasks, supervises and participates in food preparation, service and cleanup. 
  • Maximizes work force efficiency; meets operational goals.
  •  Implements menu plans per National School Lunch Program regulations.
  • Estimates food amounts & adjusts recipes to meet meal requirements & minimize waste.
  • Completes time sheets, orders, inventory and production records and bank deposits.
  • Enforces District and Health Department safety & sanitation standards.
  • Ensures correct cash handling and student meal count procedures.
  • Reviews meal applications for completeness; returns incomplete applications to parent or guardian for corrections.

Child Nutrition, Assistant Manager $10.72 per hour DOE*


Summary:
  Assists Child Nutrition personnel at sites serving 1000 plus students.  Assists with meeting mandated nutritional needs according to USDA guidelines.  Adheres to quality standards, and complies with mandated health requirements.  Oversees cash procedures. District Maintenance II  $12.60 - $13.46 per hour DOE*


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs building maintenance including more complex electrical, carpentry, plumbing, painting and dry wall work.  Assists Site Maintenance III when needed.
  • Follows preventive maintenance program at each site and completes record keeping and data entry. 
  • Alerts school office and Maintenance Department of vandalism or unsafe conditions.
  • Trouble-shoots, diagnoses, and isolates electrical, plumbing and air conditioning issues.
  • Installs, connects and adjusts thermostats, timers and energy management systems.
  • Installs auxiliary components such as valves, ducts, pipes, blowers and flues.
  • Maintains school grounds by picking up debris and removing graffiti.
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned.

Knowledge of: Principles and practices of maintenance of facilities and grounds. Trouble-shooting procedures on building maintenance.

Education and/or Experience: Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of the requisite knowledge and abilities. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Successful experience as Site Maintenance I or II or similar work experience.   

Additional Requirements: Must frequently lift or move up to 75 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds in accordance with risk management guidelines. Must demonstrate mastery of District administered test of general maintenance skills including general plumbing and electrical.   Valid Arizona Driver’s License required.

District Maintenance III  $12.96 - $13.86 per hour DOE*

  • Maintains school grounds by picking up debris and removing graffiti.
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned.

Successful experience as District or Site Maintenance II. License or certification in electrical, plumbing or air conditioning. Demonstrated proficiency in dry wall, lock and phone repairs. Additional Requirements: Must lift or move up to 75 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds in accordance with risk management guidelines. Valid Arizona Driver’s License required.

Bus Driver  $12.17 - $12.95 per hour DOE*; 6 1/2 to 8 hours per day

  • Drives a school bus on assigned daily routes and on field trips, performs pre-trip vehicle inspections. 
  • Maintains mileage records and daily logs, informs mechanics of needed repairs and files proper paper work orders. 
  • Documents discipline problems and writes bus conduct reports. 
  • Prior bus driving experience preferred. 
  • MUST safely operate a school bus; maintain a valid commercial driver's license (CDL); pass annual physical; drug and alcohol tests; maintain effective working relationships with others; communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Bus Attendant  

$7.99 - $8.25 per hour DOE*; day school is in session

  • Assists student as they enter and exit the bus, supervises students to classrooms when necessary. 
  • Documents and maintains records of problems or unusual situations, informs driver, teacher and/or parents of such problems.
  • Must secure CPR and First Aid Certificate within 30 days of date. (District will provide training). 
  • Employee must frequently lift and /or move 50 to 75 pounds.

Crossing Guard  

$7.61 - $7.84 DOE*; days school is in session

  • Assists students through intersections and thoroughfares at established crosswalks. 
  • Places and removes traffic control signs, 
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned. 
  • Must be able to work outside under extremely high temperatures. 
  • Participate and successfully complete the City of Phoenix Crossing Guard Training.
