Realizing that nutrition education needs to be presented in a way that impacts students for the rest of their lives, the Garden Café was created.

The Garden Café is a classroom disguised as a restaurant.  The space is equipped with a licensed commercial kitchen, demonstration area, and video equipment for viewing and recording lessons.

Students receive nutrition lessons that emphasize healthy eating habits and assist them in making wise food choices.  Adult groups may schedule nutrition focused events by contacting us.

Nutrition Nuggets is a monthly newsletter packed with practical ideas that families can use to improve their nutrition and physical activity knowledge. Parents can learn how to:

• Prepare nutritious foods on a tight budget and a busy schedule

• Find time in their daily routine for physical activity

• Help their children choose healthy food

• Make exercise fun
